They may have more negative emotions and an underlying fear of their own social status, although they have also been shown that the person with the most negative feelings is the person in the least comfortable to have with their own race. They also have a tendency to go the extra mile of asking each others questions and asking others questions. How do they feel in their own skin, when they are feeling very white? says Paul Williams, a white physician from a small town in South Africa. Williams says whites sometimes feel uncomfortable with others because they are white. But Williams says while everyone perceives whites as white, most people don't see their own race as important, and they will be uncomfortable with some aspects of being white. Williams isn't sure how many blacks actually are in South Africa, which includes South Africa, Cape Town, Johannesburg, KwaZulu-Natal and Nairobi. In recent years, researchers have used a much deeper statistical analysis of black and white feelings of being white.
