There have been some recent attempts at political and media reforms as a means of improving accountability, improving public service work to date, but without any real public accountability. This is simply not true. The only difference was the creation of the truth commission. A single panel to investigate allegations made against a major agency is not sufficient. The Commission can not effectively be engaged on all matters in that jurisdiction. When an agency is caught making an egregious factual error, any of its public statements to the public, even those of its own members, is enough to trigger an investigation or charge. In a case like this, the government should have full confidence in the integrity of all of its own members; they should give them enough notice at the last minute to correct any wrongdoing. I think we need to go after these organizations. They have too much power.
